As a consultant for Virtus Global since 2018, Carlos has provided the company with strong support in strategic decisions for context analysis specifically for those projects related to vulnerabilities in territorial and national security.

Carlos has had experience in supporting the management of alliances, investigating international processes of disarmament, demobilization and reintegration, accompanying awareness-raising, outreach and accountability strategies. These were evident in his position as Operations Assistant for the US Army Mission Chief in Colombia and later as an advisor for social conflict issues for the General Command of the Military Forces and the National Army of Colombia.

Carlos studied Government and International Relations at the Universidad Externado de Colombia and has a master’s degree in Strategy and Geopolitics from the Colombian War College, he is also an alumni of the Global Competitiveness Leadership program at Georgetown University.
