He graduated in Political Science from the National University of Colombia, he is currently completing his Master’s degree in Prospective and Strategic Studies at Universidad Externado de Colombia. Diego Tomás has worked for more than ten years in political consulting and strategic communications, mainly linked to security and defense and international cooperation. Within the framework of U.S. cooperation for Colombia, he was responsible for the development of communication strategies, strategic relations, high-impact content, and crisis management for the executive office of the President of and the executive office of the Vice-President, The Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Military Forces and the National Police of Colombia. Diego has also trained senior state officials and high military and police ranks in different strategic communication modules such as high-impact presentations, crisis management, community engagement, or frontline media. Diego has also worked on strategic communications projects with the U.S. Department of Justice. Currently, he also supports U.S. State Department cooperation projects for Latin America.
