Laura has the ability to analyze and synthesize information, with critical and argumentative sense. She has a great capacity for dynamism and excellent oral and written expression. She has a great command and control in tense work situations, and has a permanent disposition and positive attitude towards collaboration.

She has experience in research projects related to issues of armed conflict, post-conflict and racial approaches. She has documented events of violence in the framework of the Colombian armed conflict for the Historical Memory Observatory of the National Center of Historical Memory. She also worked for the University of Sheffield as a research assistant in a project on ex-combatants in Colombia.

Laura is a Political scientist with emphasis in Citizen Participation from Universidad del Rosario and has a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Sheffield, England; where she was awarded the prize for best thesis; “Colombia Peace Agreement: obstacles, setbacks and reversals to achieve a stable and lasting peace”. In England, the University of Sheffield sponsored her to take a training program in ‘Trust, Diplomacy and Conflict Transformation’ at the University of Birmingham.
