Maria del Pilar has worked in the private sector on issues regarding corporate social responsibility and social management of nonprofit organizations, fostering projects and programs for vulnerable populations. She has served as honorary president and board member of different foundations and nonprofit organizations where she has powered programs in education, entrepreneurship sports, and disabilities, achieving significant and high impact results for the targeted objective. She has also developed skills as an academic researcher and college professor.

Pilar is a partner of the firm, and brings all her experience to Virtus Global in her position as Director of Processes, working for their continuous improvement on behalf of consultants and clients. She has great engagement abilities, in the project design, and the private-public articulation, as well as for rigorous academic research. She is proactive, resourceful, and has excellent PR and information management skills.

Pilar is a professional in Political Science with a specialization in Theory and experiences in armed conflict resolution from Universidad de los Andes. She has a certificate in Social Media Management from Georgetown University and studies in project management at ECLAC in Chile. And, in 2008, she participated in CIDENAL (Integral National Defense Course) at the War College in Colombia.
